Support survivors and patients like me!
Having survived a brain tumour, I is encourage you all to get of your comfort zone with other survivors.
We often take our lives and our bodies for granted and events like the Sydney Skinny are a liberating experience and for me it is an opportunity to embrace my body and the freedom I am lucky enough to enjoy thanks to Dr Charlie Teo.
In 2017, I went to bed with a headache and woke up in intensive care. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. In an instant my life was turned upside down. Dr Charlie Teo operated on me three times. I've now been brain tumour free for 6 years!
Supporting the Charlie Teo Foundation by participating in the Sydney Skinny is a no brainer for me, pun intended
. Charlie and his team of scientists are actively working towards finding a cure for brain cancer and they won't stop until they find one. How could you not support that? This is going to change the world and lives of the many people and kids affected by brain cancer.
I actively encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone like so many survivors of brain cancers and tumours and experience the Sydney Skinny. Plus they get to support an incredible worthy cause!
